Minamo Kurosawa (nickname "Nyamo") is a teacher and character from the anime and manga Azumanga Daioh. She is the long-time friend of Yukari, though Nyamo hates Yukari's constant antics. Yukari, however, likes to keep Nyamo in check through her many different forms of blackmail (one being a love letter).

Nyamo of this world is a member of the nekomata race, a race of cat-like demons with superior physical capabilities. She trained Kagura since birth, after the death of her biological parents, who Nyamo had a close connection to. Thanks to this, Kagura developed an incredible level of physical strength, as well as incredible skill in unarmed combat. They also share the same ultimate attack, an ability called 'Energy Pulse' which creates one or multiple spheres of electrical energy to be used on an enemy.
Nyamo and Yukari still have a history in this world, at first having opposing views, Nyamo wanting to change the world, and Yukari preferring to go with the flow. This changes after Kagura's parents die at the hands of Kuroshin, as Yukari feels guilty for not being there to help.
Nyamo leads the Primary Assault Team, consisting of only herself and Kagura, the two strongest attackers.
Azumanga Daioh Returns[]
In this one, Nyamo comes in the same as she was from four years back, only older. However, she has become far grumpier at work. Having to deal with Yukari, as well as both Osaka and Tomo now, has become stressful.
On April Fool's, thanks to the prank-playing Tomo, Nyamo drinks the Secret Soda and ends up "making love" with Yukari, who just happened to be over at the time.
Then about the time that Osaka began dating Arata, Nyamo found a love of her own in the man known as Saotome, who was also a gym teacher. Nyamo and Saotome have been dating for a while now, but Nyamo continues to have nightmares about her and Yukari being together.
Later, Saotome revealed his first name to Nyamo. Nyamo has not had sex with him yet, nor are they set to marry, but guarantees are that they may do either one sometime soon...
Azumanga Politburo[]
Nyamo is Commissar of Health for the Anime People's Revolutionary Democratic Socialist Whatever-It-Is. She is also a member of the Sensible Faction in the Politburo.
Azumanga Who[]
Nyamo is much the same as her canon self, although notably less stressed at Yukari due to Daniel's presence. She tends to get angry at him, though, whenever he does something stupid like pretend to be drunk from root beer.
Nyamo begins to have feelings of love for Daniel, which shocks him when she confesses it. Daniel only loves her as a friend, and Yukari loves her more than he could. The two later help him out of his depression in Episode 22 after hearing Mew's prophecy.
In the Realm Of Possibility, the two are already together and are seen making out. In the ROC she, possibly in love with Yukari, lays down on Yukari's desk next to her without the other's knowledge; the only person who sees this is Sarah.
During the Great Battle, Nyamo and Yukari befriend a Professor and his assistant McShane on a frozen lake just outside Hanapolis. The two are killed by the Ruler's guards, while the Professor and McShane are thrust into a time portal.

Nyamo is a vampire hunter and leader of the sect of hunters that Kagura belongs to.
